The fonds

The archive main stock consists of the records of thepolitical and administrative activity of the Commune of Ravenna during theperiod from the 13th century up to around the year 1919. Also worth mentioningare the registers of landed property of the community, the topographical mapsof the area of Ravenna from the 15th to the 19th century and an outstandingcollection of announcements of local interest, which cover a period from 1546to 1859.

Other local archives

Other local archives are: the archives of the community of S. Alberto,the city boarding-school, the Theatres, the Testi Rasponi, Lovatelli and Gambafamilies and the Trapani photographic collection, which constitutes animportant documentation of the area between World War 1 and the reconstructionafter World War 2.

The archive is largely provided with inventories; the Trapani collection isonly available on CD.

Photographic service

The archive is located inside the Classense City Library where there is also aphotographic service.
